SF EXEC MEMBERS
The Student Foundation Executive Committee guides the direction of the Student Foundation and SMU’s traditional programming. Each Executive member leads a team of Board members and assists in the planning and execution of SF’s four traditional events. The Executive Committee aims to create lifelong memories for the SMU campus community by having a role in each event.
PRESIDENT | Amanda Jaksick
Amanda is a junior from Reno, Nevada double majoring in Biology and Psychology. Her involvement in Student Foundation began during her freshman year. Prior to serving as President of Student Foundation, Amanda started her SF journey as the Campus Events Decoration Coordinator in 2022 and then the Campus Events Chair in 2023. Amanda is honored and excited to be Student Foundation President this year, and is extremely grateful to work alongside this community of positive leaders as they plan and bring the SMU community together with fun celebrations and great events. Serving in this organization is Amanda’s favorite part of being at SMU.
For fun, Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, and hiking with her friends and family!
VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING | Grant Offner
Grant is a sophomore from Saint Simons Island Georgia with majors in Finance and Physics. He has been involved with the Student Foundation from his second semester at SMU, after first experiencing the excitement the organization’s events bring to students during his first semester.
Before being a Vice President of Programming, Grant was the Finance Vice Chair under Clayton Meyer.
Outside of Student Foundation, Grant serves as the Assistant Executive Director of The Big Event and as the Service Chair for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.
In his free time, Grant likes to weightlift, run, ski, practice the guitar, and spend time with friends and family.
VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING | Nathan Prince
Nathan is a junior at SMU studying Economics, Public Policy, and International Studies, and minors in Business and Chinese. He is from Westlake Village, CA, and has been involved in Student Foundation since his Freshman year.
Aside from SF, Nathan is a part of Alpha Kappa Psi, where he currently serves as Fundraiser Chair.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and exploring new parts of Dallas.
VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING | Pareeni Shah
Pareeni Shah is a junior from Dallas, TX studying Health and Society and Business at SMU. Pareeni’s involvement in SF began just 2 weeks into her freshman year, and her love for this organization has only grown since then.
Within Student Foundation, Pareeni has served as the Head Usher of the Tate Lectures and then went to serve as the Chair of the Tate Lectures.
Outside of SF, Pareeni serves as the President of SMU’s Business in Healthcare organization, on the Executive board of Cox’s Collegiate Consulting Academy, and as the founder of Inspire NextGen, a nonprofit organization for tutoring disadvantaged students.
Outside of these activities, Pareeni is an avid traveller and enjoys nothing more than game nights and outdoor activities.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE | Kathryn Prappas
Kathryn is a junior from Houston, TX pursuing majors in Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management and Spanish, with a minor in History. Since joining SF in the fall of her freshman year, Kathryn has served as the Campus Events Philanthropy Coordinator and the Membership Administrative Assistant before becoming the Director of Finance. Since the very start of college, SF has been a highlight of Kathryn’s SMU experience!
Beyond her involvement in SF, Kathryn serves as a mentor in the Hilltop Scholars Program, a member of Hegi Career Leaders and the University Honors Program, among others.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoys traveling, walking on the Katy Trail, completing the daily New York Times games, spending time with friends and family, and, most frequently, catching up with everyone in the SF office!
