SMU Celebration of Lights

Thank you for joining us for the 47th Celebration of Lights, celebrating the 2024 holiday season with all our favorite holiday festivities! The Celebration of Lights is one of SMU’s longest-standing traditions, started back in 1977. We heard from SMU’s President R. Gerald Turner as he read the Christmas Story, listened to student music performances, and experienced Dallas Hall Lawn as we lit the Christmas tree and surrounding landscape. Free food was enjoyed, many people pet live reindeer, and many took part in other holiday festivities. We’re excited to present the magic of the holiday season with you at the 2025 Celebration of Lights, and we hope to see you there!
