WHAT IS SF?
Student Foundation seeks to instill pride in the students of Southern Methodist University and create a sense of community through traditions and programs that serve the University. SF plans and executes four events throughout the year that include Family Weekend, Homecoming, Celebration of Lights, and PerunaPalooza. Our goal is to unify the student body by creating welcoming experiences and opportunities for all Mustangs.

Student Foundation at SMU has and continues to plan and facilitate the traditional events and programs held on campus at Southern Methodist University. These events include our Spring Semester PerunaPalooza (Peruna’s Birthday Celebration), Family Weekend, Homecoming, and our most signature event— Celebration of Lights. RECENTLY
Student Foundation had the honor of hosting SMU’s 103rd Homecoming! During the later weeks of October, our programming chair, Meredith Hughes, was the fearless leader in all things Homecoming with the coordination of The Big Event at SMU and the Student Foundation Philanthropy collaboration, the Homecoming parade, Pigskin Revue, and the amazing Rock the Vote!
