SMU Celebration of Lights

We are inviting you to join us for the 48th Celebration of Lights, celebrating the 2025 holiday season with all our favorite holiday festivities! The Celebration of Lights is one of SMU’s longest-standing traditions, started back in 1977. We cannot wait to hear from SMU’s former President R. Gerald Turner as he reads the Christmas Story, listening to student music performances, and experiences Dallas Hall Lawn as we light the Christmas tree and the surrounding landscape. We are so excited to enjoy free food, watch live reindeer, and take part in other holiday festivities. We’re excited to present the magic of the holiday season with you at the 2025 Celebration of Lights, and we hope to see you there!
