SMU Celebration of Lights Schedule

November 27 2023: 7 - 8 PM | CEREMONY AND TREE LIGHTING

Join us for holiday music performances by some of our most talented SMU students. Students from all areas of campus will gather to perform the Christmas classics.

A full list of all performances can be found on the website closer to the event date.

After performances, President Turner will read the Christmas Story from the chapter of Luke in the Bible, an annual tradition that reminds students of the meaning of the holiday season.

To conclude the evening, there will be the last performance to join in while the lights cover Dallas Hall Lawn and the Christmas tree.

Following the traditional Celebration of Light’s program, event attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of fun and festive holiday activities.

Take photos with live reindeer flown in straight from the North Pole!

Guests can model for caricature artist to have their portrait drawn—the perfect holiday gift for a loved one.

Finally, help support our philanthropy organization, Dallas CASA, by writing holiday cards for children in the DFW area. Learn more about CASA below!
