Thank you for joining our Inside Look at SMU, at Hilltop Welcome to listen to SMU’s many speakers and big names, Night on the Lawn for refreshments and music, and attending the big home game! Student Foundation had a great time celebrating Family Weekend with you this year!
Family Weekend is a time for all of our SMU families to feel welcome and connected to campus and understand the student life here at SMU! We are so honored to be able to host this incredible event, knowing that these events give families the opportunity to feel even more connected to the campus, get connected through opportunities, and to get to know other families as well!

Welcome to the Hilltop

A formal kick off to Family Weekend with hors d’ oeuvres and a welcome from President Turner, Coach Rhett Lashlee, and Provost Loboa.
Please note: The traditional “Inside Look @ SMU” event will be happening concurrently in the Mack Ballroom lobby. Here, various SMU Departments will host tables, allowing families to learn about SMU, and get a feel for educational opportunities on the Hilltop.
Fish Fry Hosted by ABS

A signature event hosted by the Association of Black Students at SMU serving a home-cooked meal prepared by SMU faculty member Dr. Jennifer “JJ” Jones.
Night on the Lawn
Come back for the event’s location and date for 2025!
A relaxed evening featuring live country music, classic Texas barbecue, and a cash bar. Enjoy plenty of photo opportunities and the perfect atmosphere to socialize with other Mustang families.
Football Game
Come back for 2025’s Boulevard and Football schedule!
Follow the SMU Athletics page to stay up to date with the football schedule and game time.
Boulevard-ing is SMU’s version of tailgating prior to the game! Come stop by even if you did not get tickets to the game!
